Overall this season it seems that we have modern takes on classic wedding gown designs. Bows, puffy sleeves, sexy a-lines, whimsical ball gowns, flirty bridal minis and much more!

“Similar to the past two seasons, the fashion trends were very segmented into four different types of brides. The looks cover the unconventional bride, sexy bride, airy ball gowns, and the clean trend. The unconventional trends provide chic pantsuits to showy vertical beadwork. The sexy bridal collections have high slits, low mesh backlines, and cut outs. The airy ballgowns are having a comeback with ethereal looks to full royal lace sleeves. The full clean wedding dress trend is still very in with mikado and crepe fabrics.”

These are our favorite 2023 Wedding Dress Trends found at Bridal Fashion Week!

The Spring 2023 Collections debuted at Bridal Fashion Week have looks for all types of brides. No matter what your style is or what you think your style is, your favorite wedding dress designers had you in mind this season! If you’re non-traditional aka ‘the cool bride’, go for a gown with a pop of color, a mini dress, pantsuit or add a cape to your gown! If you fancy yourself a more ‘classic’ bride, go for a gown with a dramatic train, a clean gown with a ruched sweetheart neckline or a wedding dress with a high neck and sleeves.

This is a trend we are absolutely loving. Mini Bridal Dresses have had a slightly slow start but this New York Bridal Fashion Week designers hit the ground running to create the cutest and most iconic mini moments for brides this wedding season. Pictured above, Verdin’s mini suit dress with puffy sleeves is the perfect, fun twist on this bridal staple. Ines Di Santo debuted two mini gowns, pictured below. One is a halter neck dress covered with sequins and a feather trim. The other mini dress is a plunging v-neck with multicolor pastel florals.

Mini Bridal Gowns are insanely versatile. They can be worn for engagement or save the date pictures. We anticipate a lot of outfit changes for brides this year. The days of just one wedding dress are long gone. Mini Bridal Dresses are perfect for the rehearsal dinner or reception!

An iconic gown is not the only way to make a statement on your wedding day. This season, Ines Di Santo introduced her brand new pantsuit, available in black and white. The feminine cut of these suits line the female silhouette romantically. You can tell Ines had her brides in mind when she was designing this one!

Is it the cottage core or Bridgerton fashion we have to thank for this trend making its way into bridal designs? Maybe both. One of the 2023 wedding dress trends we love are dramatic puffy sleeves. They add such a romantic feel to your wedding dress. They’re chic and whimsical for that modern yet classic bride. This is a trend I hope never goes away!

At The Bridal Finery, we love a detachable, custom choice. This season we saw designers playing with overskirts, bows, boleros, sleeves and capes to elevate bridal looks. As stylists we think beyond just the wedding gown. These transformable looks are the key if you’re looking for an out of the box wedding look!

It’s so refreshing to see all of the new and creative ways to add to a bride’s final wedding day look!

Florals for spring? Groundbreaking. (Sorry, I simply could not resist!) What would spring be without the most delicate of floral lace? This New York Bridal Fashion Week, each designer had a gorgeous take on the classic floral lace gown.

No doubt, popularized by the iconic Paris Hilton, the combination of the high neck and floral lace has made an incredible comeback. Most of the teams favorite gowns have these elements to them and we’re so excited to share them with brides this year!

Something blue and pastel hues made their way into the collections of designers this Spring! Wedding dresses that are not white or have colorful applique are sweeping the bridal industry. No longer taboo, brides looking to change the way the world sees them, we have the perfect gowns in mind for you!

Ines Di Santo is a hard designer to beat for the team at The Bridal Finery. We absolutely love her designs and the fit of her gowns.

“Ines Di Santo always puts on the best show! Seeing the Spring 2023 reminded me of how talented our designer Ines is. She has the ability to adapt her style to meet the different needs. Some brides are more modest than others. While still remaining her true self, Ines shows sexy silhouettes to more opulent ball gowns. It's beauty that's not forced and I cannot wait to style my brides in her dresses!”

VERDIN Bridal New York by Gustavo Nunez

Spring 2023 Collection, The Resilience

Designer, Gustavo Nunez was previously an Atelier Manager and Production Director at leading couture houses Marchesa and Reem Acra before launching his own line in Fall 2021. Roberta was most surprised by his collection as she felt it was different and fun!

Pictured above is one of Roberta and Tali’s favorite gowns by Gustavo Nunez. They love the romantic off the shoulder look with structure of the sheer boned bodice. This design is a sexy take on a regular fitted a-line gown.

“Those sleeves!”

- my exact reaction after seeing the ‘Sweet Dreems‘ collection by Reem Acra.

Reem Acra never disappoints and this collection was no different. These luxurious designs and sexy silhouettes stun us every single time. This season, her use of sleeves stand out against other designers. Her Spring 2023 collection, Sweet Dreems, combines lace gowns embellished with sequins and clean gowns decorated with ruching and texture.

Dana Harel’s Spring 2023 Collection, Acqua is striking. Her use of sheer fabric and high leg slits is sexy and empowering for the bride that wants to feel and look her best on her wedding day!
