Fashion Presentation Part 1 : The 2024 Bridal Trends for Orlando Weddings
Every summer The Bridal Finery team hosts the fashion presentation featuring the upcoming 2024 bridal trends. The fashion presentation is an intimate fashion show for local Orlando wedding vendors to meet the team, see the boutique, and learn the latest trends. We love taking the time to catch up with the industry’s reputable vendors and share a piece of our bridal fashion world with them. Bri, our Brand Developer, created the design concept starting with Pinterest mood boards. The mood board was filled with mint decadents and pink florals. From there she consulted with Events by In Bloom and local furniture rental companies Rentals by RW and A Chair Affair. Each vendor was carefully selected to bring the vision to life!
Here are the local Orlando wedding vendors who made it all happen:
Floral Design - Events by In Bloom
Hair and Makeup - Makeover Station
Wedding Cake - My Bakers Cottage Cakes
Photography - Casie Marie Photography
Furniture Rentals - Rentals by RW
Model Agency - Premiere Models NSB
Models - @favisa @tamra.tillman @jordanestevens
On the morning of the fashion presentation, models arrived at Makeover Station and the final wedding dress selections were made. The models did a photo shoot with Casie Marie Photography and Rudy and Marta Photography. During the photo shoot, they were able to rehearse the fashion presentation. After rehearsal, the store was set and ready for our first guests to arrive. Guests were greeted with champagne and were invited to explore the boutique space. Roberta, Co-Owner of The Bridal Finery, and Bri hosted the presentation. Behind the scenes Brittany C., Meaghan, and Brittany B. dressed the models. Sophia ran the social media channels and hosted a live fashion presentation on Instagram.
The 2024 Bridal Trends for Orlando Weddings
Bridal Capes
We love this dramatic alternative to a bridal veil. This is a more fashion forward approach than your traditional veil look. Depending on the fabric, a bridal cape can give off more of a regal or a whimsical look. There are more fabric variations than tulle veils have to offer. We are able to make a custom cape for the majority of our wedding dresses.
Bridal Bows
While they are trending, there is a traditional feel to a bridal bow. A timeless trend, we love it! With most of them being removable, bridal bows offer two looks in one. We have seen brides use this trend to make their wedding dress train longer.
Dress Overskirts
The dress overskirts are not new to 2024; however, we are seeing them crafted differently. The bridal designers are getting more clever with how the two pieces are worn together. It’s not just your full a-line silhouette going over the dress. We love the practicality of changing the dress for the reception. Also, it’s hard deciding on one look. This is great for a bride who just can’t decide between a slim and full wedding dress.
Detachable Sleeves
The past few seasons, sleeves have made a big comeback. In 2024, we can expect to see more removable sleeves. Due to the warm climate, we love this option for Orando weddings. Plus, it’s way easier to party all night in a sleeveless dress. Overall modesty is in and we are excited to see more unique necklines making their way down the aisle.
Mini Dresses
It’s hard to search anything bridal on IG or Tiktok without seeing mini dresses. More and more brides are changing for the full reception or after they cut the cake. Changing into a mini dress eliminates the bustle and makes a statement about a bride wanting to enjoy the party! For many of our Orlando weddings, the reception takes place at a different location than the ceremony. It makes sense to change as you enter a completely different wedding vibe.
Accessories
While some brides opt for a dress change, others are opting for an accessory change. A simple change from a stud to statement earring can create a new look. We are seeing this with headbands and full hair changes as well.
