Bride Says Yes to Wedding Dress at Virtual Appointment

Most brides do not imagine that they will find their wedding dress online. While it may be unconventional, a lot of how we navigate our world lately is pretty unconventional. When real bride Nicole’s original plans to search for her wedding dress were pushed back by COVID-19, she found her wedding dress through a virtual appointment with expert stylists, Roberta and Tali. Keep reading to learn more about Nicole and Theo’s engagement, her interesting journey to the right wedding dress, and more!

Nicole’s Virtual Bridal Appointment:

When Nicole was in search of the perfect wedding dress, like all brides, she booked an appointment at a bridal shop (ours!) Nicole booked an appointment for March, however, needed to cancel because of our store closure due to COVID19. But we were still so excited to help Nicole find the perfect dress so we helped her via Facetime! Nicole saw a stunning dress during a virtual appointment with Tali and Roberta, and thought ‘that’s the dress’, but had never tried it on. When our store reopened, she was able to come in, try it on, and say yes with her friends on Zoom! Nicole shares about her dress experience here:

What was your dress shopping experience like? : Interesting. It started off normal. I planned a trip at the end of March with my sisters to choose the dress together! However, as we all know, that was around the time the world shut down due to the pandemic, so needless to say that did not happen. I ended up choosing my dress via a virtual appointment with The Bridal Finery! I tried the dress on a month later and it was perfect!

How did you & your partner meet?: We met on Tinder! Neither of us were on the dating app for very long, and we ended up just talking to each other!

Where was your first date?: It was at a restaurant called Sushi Rokkan in Nassau, Bahamas, where we both are from!

How did your partner propose?: At Disney World during the fire work show! I almost ruined it too. I had no idea that today was the day he would propose. Not even a suspicion. So while we were on a ride I said something silly like “Oh proposals at Disney are cheesy!”. So while he proposed he said “I hope this isn’t too cheesy.” Served me right. It was one of the best days of my life.

What did you wish you knew before you started wedding planning?: Just to relax and be in the moment! Life has really thrown some curveballs this year and it has definitely taught me to be flexible and open to new ideas.

Where was your wedding? What did you decide on that space?: Not married yet! Hopefully later this year!

What wedding planning advice do you have for other brides?: To do the best you can! It will be a beautiful day no matter what!
