The Dress

Bride Selina tied the knot in the spring of 2024, wearing the Spectacular wedding dress designed by Ines Di Santo. The gown is a stunning strapless ballgown in airy Magnolia fabric featuring a deep sweetheart neckline and hand draping along the bodice of the dress. The Spectacular gown is 100% silk and was thoughtfully designed with a leg slit and peek-a-boo mini skirt detailed with lace and beading. During alterations at The Bridal Finery, our seamstress made the crinoline in the gown detachable to make the dress easy to bustle and lightweight for the reception. Her gown was great for her traditional wedding while bringing in modern flair. Selina perfectly accessorized her bridal look with a custom, hand-beaded floral royal-length veil, diamond earrings and Badgley Mischka bow heels. Still searching for your bridal heels? The Venue

Selina and Mitchell had a traditional catholic ceremony held at the incredible Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine in Florida. The Basilica’s noteworthy attributes are the overhead golden religious statues, marble flooring, and breathtaking Spanish Renaissance architecture. The ceremony was followed by the cocktail hour and reception at The Treasury on the Plaza directly next door where guests ate, danced, and celebrated. Dinner and dancing were hosted in the unique transformation of the Treasury, which was once a central bank in the 1920s. Make sure you take a look at the grand ballroom, where you can see the old bank vault!

Words From the Bride

How Did You and Your Husband Meet?

We had the same circle of friends but our paths never crossed much until 2017. Then on the night before Thanksgiving, Mitchell asked me to go with him to his work Christmas party. I thought it was just a friend thing but when I showed up he had red roses for me. We talked for hours at the party and truly just clicked. It was in those moments I knew this was going to be my forever.

What Was Your Favorite Bridal Accessory?

My favorite bridal accessory would have to be my shoes. I wanted a heel that was fun but also timeless, and I found the most perfect Badgley Mischka bow heels for my day. It added that pop of fun while being classy and elegant at the same time.

What Is Your Favorite Thing About Newlywed Life?

Newlywed life is as beautiful as I could’ve imagined! People always say it’s just a ring and a piece of paper tying two people together, but truly, there’s a much deeper connection, love, and respect you develop for one another. It’s exciting because after you’re married you have so many new milestones to look forward to that the marriage isn’t the main story, it’s just another beautiful chapter in life.

What Advice Do You Have for Future Brides?

Choose whatever is going to make you happy! Don’t listen to what people are saying on social media or what’s trending and not trending. While it’s nice to get different ideas from certain platforms, it can get really overwhelming. My brain would go a million miles a minute trying to make a decision. If you truly love a design or an idea, go for it! Don’t let the opinions of others affect what you ultimately want. What matters the most is how you are going to feel when you look back 5, 10, 20 years from now.
