Our tips & reminders when you are shopping for your wedding gown

Select key people for decision making and finding your dress.
This is my biggest recommendation for every bride. When shopping for your wedding gown, remember how you like to shop in general. Do you like to shop with family? Do you like to shop with friends? Do you like to shop alone? Family & friends have your best interest at heart, however, they don't always have the same taste in fashion as you. If you prefer to shop alone because you don't want too many opinions or you don't want others to know what your price range is, it is completely fine to shop alone. Remeber, your fiance will think you are beautiful in whatever you wear, what's most important is finding something you feel beautiful in.

Arrive with an open mind.
An open mind is my biggest advice for every bride who is shopping for her wedding gown. An open mind to trying on different styles and an open mind to allowing your bridal stylist to completely style you by showing you different fabrics & silhouettes. Keep in mind, shopping for your wedding dress is not the same as shopping for your prom dress. Wedding gowns are made with completely different fabrics and prom dresses do not fit the same way as a designer gown. An open mind also allows a bridal stylist to be the expert, which allows them to provide excellent service. Through my years of experience, anytime a bride has an open mind and lets her stylist be the expert, it is always a win.

Arrive ready to find your dress.
So many brides do not come prepared mentally or financially to their bridal appointments because they don't think they will find their dress when they go shopping. When you work with experts, finding your gown is very easy. Most of our brides find their dress the first time they shop with us. I would hate for a bride to not be able to say 'yes' when she is having her moment because of finances. If you are not purchasing the dress, be sure to let the buyer know you are shopping, so when you say 'yes' they are ready as well.
