Wedding Dress Look Book Photo Shoot
When we decided to open up The Bridal Finery we reached out to Photographer Kristen Weaver to get advice on how we should approach our wedding dress photo shoots and editorials. Due to our concept, our inventory is constantly changing. The traditional bridal shop has two seasons. For us, we are receiving new wedding dresses almost every day. We decided to partner with Kristen to create a year long bridal series featuring a monthly look book photo shoot. Our long-time friend and makeup professional go-to, Simone from Makeover Station came on board for the makeup. Jeffrey Stoner created a behind the scenes video of the shoot. We are so thankful for this vendor team.
When it came to finding models, we were searching for a new face. We happened to meet Lainey at a plant sale at Mead Gardens. She was volunteering and were shopping for the boutique. We saw her glowy skin and knew instantly that she would be a beautiful model for our photo shoot. We are so fortunate she agreed. Photo shoots tend to go smoother with more models. We had worked with Alena in the past. We loved her professionalism, look, and confidence when doing model poses. So we brought her on board as our second bridal model.
On photo shoot day, Roberta dressed the models while I steamed the wedding dresses. We styled our bridal models in Sareh Nouri bridal gowns. All the accessories are from Maria Elena Headpieces, Erin Cole Jewelry, and Girl with a Serious Dream. Kristen was able to upload the photos instantly to the laptop so we could view the photos as she was capturing them. I was a little distracted at times because well... I love kittens and I think Kristen has about six of them. She fosters puppies and kittens throughout the year. At the very end of the shoot we had to invite a furry model to join in on the fun. Kristen uses digital and film. The photos I featured for this blog post are all digital. I'll be featuring the film ones soon!
