About the Wedding Venue: The Alfond Inn 

Situated blocks away from Park Ave. and across Rollins College in Winter Park, The Alfond Inn offers wedding spaces for couples looking for a Florida resort feel. The Alfond Inn is one of the few functioning hotels in Winter Park. This provides convenience for your guests while offering ballroom spaces and outdoor ceremony options.

I've attended two weddings and five special events at The Alfond Inn. Being a Floridian I always pay close attention to the rain backup options available at venues. The ballrooms at The Alfond Inn offer a neutral blank canvas that can easily be transformed to your liking. The outdoor space reminds me of the contemporary rooftop spaces found in New York City. Tons of greenery carefully placed in a chic way. The outside space requires very minimal decor.  

Our Wedding Dress Recommendations for Alfond Inn Weddings

Here are my top three style picks for The Alfond Inn.  Always go with what feels the most comfortable for you. Here I have selected three dresses that would look lovely with The Alfond Inn as the backdrop. I have selected an a-line, fit-n-flare, and a sheath.  

My first pick is an a-line wedding dress from Yolan Cris. The wedding dress has a soft illusion neckline with a natural waist and chapel train. There is 3-D dimensional texture throughout the dress and the underlay as a soft Chantilly lace. The Alfond Inn is known for its unique art collection. This dress is true artwork and will fit in perfectly. 

My second pick is for the bride not afraid to show her shape. Designer Ines Di Santo creates a contemporary lace wedding dress with a plunging neckline. A little sexy and a little modern, this dress is a chic approach to lace. While lace is one of the most often fabrications used on wedding dresses, this dress is everything, but basic. For a bride looking to show her curves, but still wants to feel like a bride, this dress is a must see. 

My third style pick is an Anne Barge with a beaded bodice and sheath skirt. The Alfond Inn is comfort with class. This dress represents a relaxed yet glamorous feel to it. The dress transitions well from ceremony to reception with a simple traditional bustle. The backline drops to a low v-neck. I recommend wearing your hair up or pulled to the side in a low up do. 

Our forth style pick is a ball gown by Ines Di Santo. The Alfond Inn is also known for their contemporary art work which can be found throughout the hotel. This dress is a fun and playful approach to a wedding dress, much like the type of art found at the venue. The horse hair skirt and blush undertones are perfect for a fun and spring wedding dress.
