A Floral Art Exhibit Ines Di Santo Spring 2021

The Ines Di Santo Spring 2021 Bridal Collection is here! See how we created a floral art exhibit to celebrate the arrival! We hope this artistic approach for design inspires couples for their own wedding day.

Like we’ve heard before, 2020 is unlike any year we’ve experienced yet. From canceled concerts, events, graduations, and weddings, nothing felt of the norm for a large portion of this year. One aspect of the year that also went missing was the debut of wedding dress designer’s Spring 2021 bridal collections.

Our featured designer, Ines Di Santo was one of the few designers who was able to complete her collection and even host trunk shows. While Di Santo and her team of artisans were completing the collection, they were also creating hospital gowns and various personal protective equipment for local hospitals in their hometown of Toronto, CA. We are so impressed by their commitment of making hospital and wedding gowns for their home community and to brides around the world which makes them a partner we are so proud to be aligned with.

We were one of the first stores in the world to get our hands on and sell the Spring 2021 Ines Di Santo gowns. While it’s always exciting to see something new, there was something exceptionally special about working with these gowns at a trunk show. It finally started to feel like 2020 was looking up and we could finally feel some sense of normalcy.

To show our excitement about this collection, we created an entire photoshoot around the dresses and the season of spring. To bring this vision to life, we contacted our Orlando wedding vendor friends. We all created a floral art exhibit in our Orlando bridal shop and we couldn’t be more in love with the outcome. Continue to read as we share all about the concept + design.

The Inspiration for the Floral Art Exhibit

This collection of wedding dresses are all romantic with whimsical with decadent details. Each dress is unique to its own specific design while playing a huge part in an overall catalog of gowns. “While creating the inspiration for this shoot, I really wanted an explosion of spring in our bridal boutique. I wanted to bring to life the spring vision Ines Di Santo had in mind for all of her gowns. Bright color, texture, and playful forward thinking designs were all welcome to this concept.” - Jamie O’Neill, Fashion Director at The Bridal Finery.

“The inspiration for the styling and hanging floral installation was brought on by the combination of what’s trending in social media and the soft details found within the dresses. The dresses are from Spring 2021, so we wanted it to be on trend while also staying ahead. Use of Wispy blue delphinium, Nina roses, Carnations, Strawflowers, Wax Flower, and Camomile captured the feminine and ethereal details while the wonderland fairytale concept was displayed through the styling of the antique mirror and florals in non traditional bunches”

Bridal Hair and Makeup Inspiration for Floral Art Exhibit

There were around 20 dresses in the entire collection and I wanted most (if not all) the gowns shot. Within the collection, there were three overarching themes I saw; ethereal, sleek, classic. These three themes inspired the looks for the three models. We worked with Tiffany, owner of Bronze Glow Beauty to create the three specific looks for these bridal styles.

Gabby took on the sleek role with a middle part and soft waves. Alayzia took on a classic bridal style with a sleek low chignon bun and finished with large hair accessories by Maria Elena Headpieces. Our final model, Leah was the perfect face for our ethereal look. A high bun with soft waves down her face created a French-inspired style. Once the hair and makeup selections were made, this made gown selections for each of the girls super easy.

I wanted the looks to be distinctively different, but still have a cohesive thread like the stunning gowns. The aesthetic I was going for was fresh, sophisticated and chic. I kept the makeup really simple with light washes of champagne, taupes and browns on the lids with bronzed cheeks and peachy lips. For the hair, I wanted it to look effortless but still have a little bit of structure. I wanted the looks to speak to that bride that says, “I want to look like I did this myself”...but secretly had a little help behind the scenes.
