How did you & your partner meet?: I took my son to a play date at Dave & Busters. I wanted to get drinks to go, and they were being served at the bar. We were both waiting to be served and exchanged our thoughts about slow service at that time. He followed me after I left the bar to leave, and my friend noticed he was looking for me and she pointed at where I was. He asked if I would want to have coffee sometime and if he could have my number. I gave him my number but I never took his. Thank God he texted me the day after!
Where was your first date?: It was at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake.
How did your partner propose?: At our Christmas party at home with all our closest friends and family. He gave my son a necklace with a heart pendant, and inside it was engraved with the words: "Life is a journey and love is what makes it worthwhile." My son handed me the box, I opened it and as I was kneeling and hugging him, my husband got down on one knee and opened a black box with my ring in it. He asked if I would marry him and I said “YES!”

What was your dress shopping experience like? : It was personal, private, intimate, and stress-free. I was looking at pictures for a long, long time, and I was set on a particular designer. I called The Bridal Finery and talked directly to one of the owners, Tali. I worked with her from day one up until the last day. I asked for a couple of dresses while at the store. The very first dress I tried was the one. It was weird. I really went there with the thought, "I know I'm not going to find it yet" in the back of my head. I knew it was the dress since the first glance when I walked in the store. It was a magical moment for me.
What did you wish you knew before you started wedding planning?: Comfortable shoes can make a huge difference!
