What bridal accessory was your favorite?
My favorite accessory were my Maria Elena earrings!
How did you & your partner meet?
Jacob and I went to the same church for about 10 years but didn’t meet until college when I was in town for the summer and was offered a social media internship position at the church. Upon accepting the offer, I learned that Jacob was the other youth intern. I was quickly attracted to him and after a few months of working together, we started dating!
Where was your first date?
Our first date was Aloma Bowling followed by Chick Fil A!
How did your partner propose?
He had close friends of ours (@puregoldcreative) reach out to me and ask if me and Jacob would be up for doing a photo shoot for their page! He proposed during our fake shoot and it made for the sweetest pictures!
What was your wedding dress shopping experience like?
I can’t say enough good things about The Bridal Finery! Despite getting married and picking out my dress during a pandemic, they made the whole process very comfortable and exciting for me and were so attentive to all my needs!
What do you love most about your wedding venue?
I loved how we got to experience the city atmosphere while still feeling completely separated from all the craziness of it!
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started wedding planning?
It is never too early to create an excel sheet with the addresses of people you know you want to come! Getting out invitations were such a pain because we had to hunt down all the addresses first!
How would you describe the overall feel of your event?
Unique and charming
What wedding planning advice do you have for other brides?
Book your venue first! So many venues now a days are booked at least a year out.
Where will your honeymoon be?
Charleston, SC. We planned on Iceland but were unable to go due to Covid. We are hoping to go for our one year!
What are you enjoying most about newlywed life?
Just living life together always!
