How did you & your partner meet? : We met through mutual friends and ended up hitting it off!
Where was your first date? : Our first date was at, The Cheesecake Factory.
How did your partner propose? : We were back in Orlando for my nephews baptism and, as per usual, I planned sushi with all my girls. My sister and I took an Uber together and the rest of the girls were meeting us there. My good friend, Athena, suggested we get there a little early and meet at the bridge in Baldwin for a few pictures - she’s that friend who would want to do that so I thought nothing of it. However, on the way there it was raining. My sister insisted it wouldn’t be raining over in Baldwin so we should still get dropped off there. As we are getting closer it was still raining and I was arguing with my sister that the girls are probably already at the restaurant, Seito, because of the rain. She gets me to call my friend, Athena, who answered the phone and told me that they are all there at the bridge and that it’s only sprinkling. As we pulled up I see all my girls, and Jake, trying to play it cool. At that point, I knew what was happening. It was the sweetest thing. After he proposed, I thought we were going to get sushi ,but instead we headed to Wine Room, in Winter park, where all our other family and friends were waiting to celebrate with us! It was such an amazing day!!
What was your dress shopping experience like? : It was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in, Tali had me feeling like I would be walking out with the perfect dress for my wedding day. We talked about my vision for my dress ,and also my everyday look. In no time at all, I had found the one!
What did you wish you knew before you started wedding planning?: Honestly, I had many friends get married and had some pointers from them. Wedding planning was great and I only felt a little stressed the few days leading up to the wedding.
Where was your wedding? What did you decide on that space?: We chose Up the Creek Farms for our wedding venue.
What's your favorite memory from your event? : Our vows to each other. Jake and I are not very vocal people about our feelings towards each other, and our vows gave us the opportunity to show our personality, and express to each other how much we love and mean to one another.
How would you describe the overall feel of your event? : I would descibe our wedding as being very lighthearted and fun.
What wedding planning advice do you have for other brides? : Definitely make sure you get the big vendors picked early!
Where was your honeymoon? : We took an 11 day Southern Caribbean cruise.
