How did you & your partner meet? : We met working together in Entertainment at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Where was your first date? : Our first date was at the Celebration Town Tavern, we went out for a drink and ended up talking the whole night until the tavern closed.
How did your partner propose? : He proposed at our home. He had a note posted on our front door when I got home from work telling me he wanted to make a new favorite memory with me. Train’s “Marry Me” was playing and there was another note telling me to go outside. He was all dressed up and had our dog in a bow tie standing in front of the fire pit. He got down on one knee and said he couldn’t spend one more day being my boyfriend. He then asked if I would make him the happiest man and do him the honor of being his wife!
What was your dress shopping experience like? : Incredible! The stylists at, The Bridal Finery, make you excited for your wedding by adding such fun details like, welcome signs with your name and another congrats on your engagement with your name by the dressing room. My stylist, Tali, was patient and took into consideration everything I was looking for in a dress. She could transform any dress I tried on into something that I would love wearing or feel more comfortable in. She honestly knew what kind of dress I was looking for more than I did because she selected the wedding dress I chose. It was one of the last dresses I tried on, and she suggested I try it even though it wouldn’t have been my first pick by looking at it on the hanger. She just knew. She picked the perfect dress for me and I fell in love with it. She helped me make it my own and it was absolutely stunning thanks to her expertise! The communication from her during the whole process was amazing! They make you feel so special, the whole team! They really do want to make sure you have anything you need and can help by offering you ideas and solutions. The whole experience was just incredible.
What did you wish you knew before you started wedding planning?: No matter how hard you try, you truly can’t please everyone.
Where was your wedding? What did you decide on that space?: The Highland Manor in Apopka. We loved that it was a one stop shop for the wedding and reception.
What's your favorite memory from your event? : Our vows. One of our best friends married us and he created our vows based on us as a couple and it was so meaningful. I’ll never forget that moment.
What is a 'must have' for brides on wedding day?: A moment for you and your groom! Our photographer suggested this and we loved it. At the end of the night before your send off have all your guests leave the room. Let it just be you and your groom and play one final song to dance to. It gives you the chance to take everything in from that day just the two of you for a few moments. It was a wonderful moment we shared and completely worth it.
How would you describe the overall feel of your event? : Whimsical, romantic, rat pack inspired kind of night. We had dinosaurs placed randomly, old books, globes, cameras. Things to symbolize us and what we love, we’re old souls at heart.
What wedding planning advice do you have for other brides? : Try to enjoy as much of the process and possible and not let it completely stress you out. Easier said than done.
Where was your honeymoon? : Napa Valley and then a Disney Cruise!
