From tinder matches, to totally in-love, the two love birds decided to tie the knot at a breathtaking ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. How did you & your partner meet? : We met on Tinder in December of 2014.
Where was your first date? : Our first date was at Cocina 214, a restaurant in Winter Park.
How did your partner propose? : He surprised me at the Balcony Orlando during sunset, and had arranged a dinner with all of my closest friends and family at the Grand Bohemian afterwards.
What was your dress shopping experience like? : The dress shopping experience was great! I knew I wanted to try The Bridal Finery because a good friend of mine had such a great experience there. The owners, Tali and Roberta, were very attentive and knowledgeable. It didn’t take long before I knew exactly the dress I should get.
What did you wish you knew before you started wedding planning?: I wish I knew to just relax and that the small details really don’t matter as much as you think!
Where was your wedding? What did you decide on that space?: Our wedding was at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. It was everything we were looking for. We wanted to have a wedding that didn’t feel like we were necessarily in Orlando and we could make a weekend for our guests. The venue was absolutely beautiful and the grounds matched the exact type of ambiance we were looking for.
What's your favorite memory from your event? : My favorite memory is the very last dance with my husband at the end of the evening where it was just the two of us in the ballroom.
What is a 'must have' for brides on wedding day?: You need to have a go-to person who you can count on! I wouldn’t have survived if it wasn’t for my wedding planner, Jennie Maretti.
How would you describe the overall feel of your event? : The ceremony was held outdoors so we wanted something that felt elegant but not too stuffy. We then moved to the inside for cocktail hour and the reception. Our main goal was to have something that felt like “us.” Formal, yet fun, at the same time.
What wedding planning advice do you have for other brides? : Relax! All the details come together in the end if you just map out a great timeline. Again, I can’t recommend a fantastic wedding planner enough. It was truly the best decision we made the entire experience.
Where was your honeymoon? : We went to Italy! We traveled for two weeks starting in the southern part of Italy and then we ended in Venice.
