2019 Spring Bridal Fashion Week Trends

This 2019 spring and summer Bridal Fashion Week trends have people at opposite ends of the wedding spectrum. With great new twists and some surprises along the way, one end of the spectrum calls for a more daring bride, provoking elements of sexiness and boldness. It is very evident to say that tradition has gone to the wind as designers create wedding dresses with expressive colors adding a level of movement and a new life to the original concept of a traditional bridal. The other end tailors to the hopeless romantics inspired by the pending royal wedding with themes of regalness and grace as there is a softer touch to the designs. Having such vastly different ends means that there is a wedding dress out there for every type of bride whether you happen to be at one end or a mix. It is not only the dresses, however, but that is also all the rage in this Spring and Summer 2019 collection. Because there is a large difference at each end there is also talk about modern sleek hairstyles as well as ones fit for a Queen.

Wedding Dresses with Color

Starting off with a smooth pop of color, Carolina Herrera’s collection is the hight of less is more. With a dash of color as an update to the endless sea of white bridal dresses, this hint of color comes in the form of ribbons, thick and thin varying in color. The dresses are seemingly simple and elegant. Brightly colored ribbons featured in different fashions in each dress, some as belts and some as straps, elevates each gown giving the bride an extra pep in her step as she makes her way down the aisle knowing a golden bow is following her step.

Along with Vera Wang’s spring-summer collection color is taken to the next level. Using a multitude of layers, the colored tool is placed underneath each other creating this array of dresses that have a garden desert-esk effect. This effect is carried out by using multiple strong colors such as dusty pink, purple, dark green, red, black, and yellow within the tool. Having the strong colors be on the top few layering of the tool, the nude colored tool creates a soft contrast that would resemble the movement of sand as the nude and bright colors mixed to make a wedding dress more lively as it is being walked in. Some of the dresses have include flowers to give it another natural touch and finish.

Starting to lean towards the other end of the spectrum, when bold colors go beyond champagne and ivory. These plain colors just are not enough to give you that wow factor and edge some brides want on their wedding day. Berta’s 2019 collection might just be what these brides have been waiting for. With designs ranging from tight and sexy to a ball gown. Each dress is flowered with see-through cutouts or mesh coverings, the sparkle of the Swarovski crystal, and even white feathers. Berta's collection is one of those that are extremely eye-catching, as this dress is very sexy.
