A Colorful October Wedding in St. Kitts. Congratulations, Real Bride, Chevelle!
Chevelle celebrated her October wedding in St. Kitts while being surrounded by friends and family. After nine years together, Chevelle’s boyfriend proposed in Sarasota, Fl! They hosted a romantic garden wedding in St. Kitts. Chevelle shared with us she wanted a garden wedding because her mom had one and she always loved her mother’s wedding photos. St. Kitts was the perfect location for the couple, they are both from Nevis, so traveling back home to be married was the perfect location. We love their vibrant wedding photos and outside ceremony.

Finding the perfect dress was a must for the gorgeous setting the island held. Chevelle was styled by Tali Gallo. Tali hand-selected the ‘Morning’ gown by Ines Di Santo . The ‘Morning’ wedding dress features a v neckline, two different types of lace, a fitted silhouette, and side slit. This gown was perfect for her romantic island wedding. Chevelle’s bridal style was completed with an overskirt by Theia. This overskirt gave Chevelle two different looks, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. Tali completed Chevelle’s look with accessories by Maria Elena Headpieces and a custom veil by Girl and a Serious Dream, named Chevelle, after Chevelle herself.

Where was your first date? : I honestly do not remember. It was 11 years ago!
How did your partner propose? : On our 9th anniversary he came to visit me in Sarasota where I had been living alone for a few months due to a job transfer. We spent the day together and then headed back to the apartment to get ready for dinner. While at the apartment he played the song "Cause I Love You" by Lenny Williams and asked me to dance. Midway through our dance he got down on one knee and proposed! It was kind of funny because he would randomly pretend he was proposing for months. It was quite annoying actually. He had even made a ring out of toilet paper and asked me to marry him earlier that morning (rolling my eyes!) So when he got down on his knee I just figured it was another prank. I did not believe him until he reached into his backpack that was laying on the floor and pulled out the ring!
What was your dress experience like? : Simply amazing! Everything I could have ever hoped for. A true VIP experience!
Where was your wedding? What did you decide on that space?: Palm Court Gardens on the island of St.Kitts. I always wanted a garden wedding because my mom had one and her pictures were so pretty. We both grew up in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis (Nevis to be exact) which is why we traveled back there to get married.
What wedding planning advice do you have for other brides? : Start early and try to know exactly what you want. Surround yourself with people who will encourage you along the way, help you in any way necessary and treat you like the royalty you are! Figure out what is most important to you so you can spend your money there and cut costs elsewhere. And lastly, make it a fun experience!
Where was your honeymoon? : Our Bali Honeymoon will take place in September 2019! We chose to wait and save up so we could do something amazing!
