International Couple Hosts Destination Weekend Wedding in Honduras
When Daniele sat down for her bridal shopping appointment, she shared with me all her wedding weekend plans.. You could tell they have so much love to share that a weekend was more appropriate. I had a wedding weekend as well and instantly connected with her wedding plans. Daniele is from Brazil and her husband, Ivan, is from Honduras. They decided on a wedding weekend in Roatan, Honduras. She already found her beach wedding dress from designer Berta. When she came into The Bridal Finery she was on the hunt for her church wedding dress. It needed to still have a beach vibe but church appropriate. We really focused on finding something that was a completely different look than her Berta wedding dress
The Bridal Finery Fashion Presentations - Tropical Summer Wedding Blooms
On June 18, our third week of our Fashion Presentations, we celebrated the begging of summer. Our boutique only 10 minutes outside of Orlando, was designed and stylized with tropical bright green palms, birds of paradise florals, and even hand painted palms featuring a royal blue color. When finding inspiration for this week, I took a ready to wear approach. While I am infamously known to wear a lot (I mean a lot) of black, I am living for the Spring/Summer 2019 neon trend. It’s summer, why not wear fun colors? We featured this trend while still keeping bridal and weddings in mind. During our presentation, attending guests sipped on our signature champagne drink and snacked on watermelon panna cotta with honey goat cheese balls and watermelon slices while we showcased our newest collection of designer wedding gowns.
The Bridal Finery Fashion Presentations - Dreamy Lavender and Blue Blooms
Our Fashion Presentations are continuing through the month of June. While our first week was inspired by a flower shop and spring flowers, our second week of presentations took a different route. When making design and color inspiration selections, shades of lavender and soft blue kept coming to mind. While blush tones have been trending in floral design over the past year, I wanted a color scheme that went against what most brides have been requesting. During our hour long Fashion Presentations, guests sipped on our signature lemon and lavender champagne drink and snacked on lemon poppy seed cake bites with lavender honey caramel Swiss meringue butter cream filling and honey topping.
The Bridal Finery Fashion Presentations - Peach and Pink Floral Inspiration
Each Tuesday throughout the month of June, we have hosted hour long Fashion Presentations in our Winter Park bridal boutique. Our Fashion Presentations showcased the latest trends in bridal fashion, bridal beauty, floral, decor and design. Attending our intimate one hour presentations ranged from Central Florida Wedding Professionals, local influencers, real brides, and bridal enthusiast. Guests sipped on our signature peach drink and snacked on mini peach cobblers with sweet Chantilly by Baker’s Cottage Cakes while we presented our latest collection of designer wedding gowns.
Bride wears Carolina Herrera at Classic Winter Park Backyard Wedding
Less than ten weeks ago, Padgett walked into The Bridal Finery to find her wedding dress. I sat down to learn more about her and Greg. Instantly, I could tell this is a woman with a sophisticated style. My mind started to wonder toward the Carolina Herrera and Oscar De La Renta dresses. Within a few dress try ons she narrowed her search down to two Carolina Herrera dresses. Both suited her quite well. I pinned her hair up so she could see the full look. She went with the strapless gown providing her more flexibility to hug and dance. The other Carolina gown was beautiful on her but restricted her arms. Next came the dress fittings. Our seamstress Sarah encouraged her to wear the dress as it was designed. The dress came with a detachable skirt and can be worn several ways.
A Romantic Florida Wedding at Howey Mansion with Candles and White Flowers
In January a stylist friend reached out to me to recommend her friend Melissa to our store. Because of who recommended her I knew Melissa was going to be our fashion-forward bride. She walked into the boutique in a nicely tailored black dress with black stiletto heels. You know I love little black dresses, so I immediately clicked with Melissa. She shared her Iceland engagement story with me and told me she was considering Howey Mansion for her wedding day.
How To Steam A Wedding Dress
I get it, it’s your wedding day and you want everything to be perfect. Making sure your dress is wrinkle free is pretty high on the list. Most dresses steam out really nicely. Some have a natural wrinkle to them that will never go away. Those tend to be the more structured fabrics like the silk faille, satins, and taffetas. Luckily, the photography style at the moment is very airy and blown out. This will soften any wrinkles.
When the dress is being steamed it is important that it is done in a quick circular motion. For the stubborn wrinkles, leave them and come back. You don’t want too much heat on one particular part of the dress for too long of a time. Work on an area and then come back to it.
