Summer engagement session in downtown Winter Park!

Congratulations Michelle & Cory!

They started off their amazing engagement shoot at Kraft Azalea Gardens in Winter Park!

Sometimes, finding the love of your life requires a little liquid courage and just saying “What the heck” to get yourself to finally go for it! For our real bride Michelle, this tactic definitely did the trick when it came to how she met her fiance, Cory. Keep reading to learn more about how Michelle and Cory met, how he proposed, and all of their exciting wedding plans!

How sweet is this photo!

How did you & your partner meet?: Cory was the guy that asked me if I wanted any water on a job interview. I thought he was really cute and choked when I said “no thanks.”

The scenery at this park makes for beautiful engagement photos!

Where was your first date?: Our first date was technically at Saint Anejo (Now called Agave Azul). I was a little tipsy and asked him to come join me. We worked together, so I finally got some guts and said, “what the heck.” After that night though, Cory would ask me to go on a "real" first date. We went to the Alfond Inn for a drink and then Prato for dinner.

SO in love!

How did your partner propose?: He took me to Nashville and surprised me at the Parthenon in Downtown Nashville. We are country music lovers and both of our dads have passed away and were both in the military. He told me he was taking me to the Parthenon to honor our dads. There was a photographer hiding and everything.

Glowing in love!

What was your dress shopping experience like? : Roberta is like the sister you didn't know you needed. She kept everyone on point, my grandma and mom are some strong women and made the experience easy and fun. I am not good at knowing what would look good on my body and Roberta literally picked my dream dress on the first try. We put on some others just for fun, but we both knew, it was THE one.

A quick outfit change!

What did you wish you knew before you started wedding planning?: That COVID was going to hit hard. We got engaged February 6th and when we came out we pretty much got our venue right away before things got crazy. So at that point, it was full steam ahead no matter what.

Where will your wedding be held?: Winter Park Racquet Club

We love this adorable save the date sign!

What is a 'must have' for brides on wedding day? : Melanie Paige, my wedding planner!

How do you want the feel of your wedding day to be?: I hope for a lot of fun and dancing

We love the look of black and white engagement photos!

What wedding planning advice do you have for other brides?: Get a checklist and start following a bunch of accounts for inspiration. Vendors will have a lot of questions and having pictures for inspiration is a huge help.

Where is your honeymoon going to be?: We are hoping to do Hawaii. Our original plan was to backpack through Europe, but I think we may need to wait on that one!

Cannot wait to see their wedding photos!
